For spas & wellness

Spa software for treatments, packages and what each therapist earns

A spa sells time and skill, not stock. What matters is which treatments fill the day, which therapists are busy, and whether the packages you discount are still worth doing.

The package problem

Packages fill quiet afternoons, which is why every spa offers them. They also quietly compress your margin, because a discounted bundle still uses the same room, the same hour and the same therapist as a full-price treatment.

Without recording each treatment separately it's almost impossible to tell whether the package is bringing in new clients or simply giving a discount to people who would have booked anyway.

PesaScope records the treatment and the price actually charged, so the comparison is there whenever you want it.

How a spa uses it

  1. Record the treatment when the client paysMassage, steam, waxing — with the price actually charged, which for a package may not be the list price.
  2. Tag the therapistEach treatment is attached to whoever performed it, so commission and utilisation are both answerable from the same record.
  3. Add product sales to the same visitOils and scrubs sold on the way out go on the same sale and come out of stock.
  4. Record the costs that eat the marginRent, laundry, consumables, water and power. Treatments look profitable until these are counted.

Treatments ready to price

Pick "Spa & wellness" at sign-up and your treatment list is loaded, grouped into Massage, Body and Packages. Set your prices and add your own.

Packages are set up as their own line so you can compare what a bundle earns against the treatments inside it.

A week, with the packages counted honestly

Full body massage × 18UGX 1,440,000
Half-day packages × 7UGX 980,000
Waxing & steam × 14UGX 420,000

Therapist commission− UGX 880,000
Rent, laundry, consumables− UGX 610,000

Seven packages took as much therapist time as eleven full-price massages would have. Whether that's worth it is a decision — but it should be an informed one.

Utilisation without a booking system

PesaScope is not a booking or appointment diary — it records what was done and what was paid. If you already run bookings on WhatsApp or a paper diary, keep doing that.

What it adds is the money side: which treatments actually fill, what each therapist brought in, and whether the week paid for itself.

Questions spa owners ask

Does it handle bookings and appointments?

No — it's a money and records app, not a diary. It records what was done and what was paid. Most spas here run bookings on WhatsApp and use PesaScope for the figures.

Can I see what each therapist brought in?

Yes. Every treatment is tagged to the therapist, so you can pull earnings per person over any period, which is what most spas use for commission.

How do I record a package that covers several treatments?

Record the package as the line the client paid for. If you want the detail, record each treatment at the price actually apportioned — the app allows several lines on one visit.

Can two therapists share one client's visit?

Yes. A visit can carry more than one line, each tagged to a different person.

Do I need a computer at reception?

No, a phone is enough. It does need a connection to record — the separate POS till app is the part that works offline.

Can I stop staff seeing the profit figures?

Yes. Staff can record treatments while reports stay with the owner.
